Matthew Temple is a Director of Photography with a passion for shooting drama and scripted comedy. Matthew is known for creating a collaborative and calm space for actors and directors to do their best work whilst crafting beautiful images. With over 30 years in the camera department, many of those years spent working under some of the top DP's in Australia, his cinematography credentials have been well earned.

His first outing as director of photography was on Josh Thomas’ Please Like Me  season 2  for ABC TV. He went on to shoot 3 seasons of this acclaimed show. More recent projects include the feature film Late Night With The Devil starring David Dastmalchian; the epic goldrush era drama series New Gold Mountain starring Yoson An, the most expensive production ever undertaken by SBS TV; the ABC series Frayed seasons 1 and 2 by UK based show runner and star Sarah Kendall; 5 Bedrooms seasons 2, 3 and 4 with a stellar ensemble cast for Network 10; My Life is Murder  starring Lucy Lawless for Network 10 and Dead Lucky starring Yoson An and Rachael Griffiths for SBS TV. 

Matthew loves what he does and is known to surround himself with skilled, hard working and kind crew.
